What we can do to prevent ice shelf eroding
In the article ‘Antarctica’s Wilkins ice eroding at an unforeseen pace’ Peter N. Spotts said that ice shelves in Antarctic are melting rapidly and the reason of melting reads into the global warming. Even though the melting is rapid, it is not that serious as yet. But if we leave the matter as it is, things will get worse. And there are two opinion of ice shelf melting. The one is that global warming causes the melting of ice shelf, and makes the sea level goes up. The other one is that the ice shelf is stable enough and the melting sometimes appeared in the past, but nothing happened. Therefore we have to figure out the reason of ice shelf melting, and it can help to predict the consequences of ice shelf melting.
The most important and immediate thing we have to do is to find the exact
reason of ice shelf eroding. Some of scientist claims that the ice shelf eroding is just a seasonal thing that we saw in the past times like the Roman era and Medieval Warm Period and it does not a big deal. But they are passing over something can cause the serious and miserable thing in the world. Even though ice shelf eroding can be seasonal thing, it is not an established view now. Therefore we have to make clear the reason of ice shelf eroding.
If something shows the same phenomenon, it can be caused by another reason. It is true that ice shelf eroding appeared in the past times, but now things are changed. Air pollution is serious, the temperature goes up and it becomes the reason of ice shelf eroding. It is the rapid change in the whole world and it is caused by human nature. Humans wanted to develop their society and industry at a short time, it leads the pollution. So, now we face the bad consequences of the rapid development.
Ice shelf eroding is one of the bad consequences that we caused, so we have to correct things before they get worse. First of all, we should figure out the reason of ice shelf eroding. We have to focus on the process that ice shelf eroding changed, and we have to find out the different factors that we could not find. We can find the reason of ice shelf eroding through we analyze the factors of ice shelf eroding. We can prevent the worst situation when we find out the exact reason.
The bad consequences that we made can be changed by us. If we start to fix it, it can be straitened immediately. Therefore we have to observe the change of ice shelves, analyze the factors, figure out the reason of ice shelf eroding and try to prevent the bad consequences of ice shelf eroding like rising of sea level. This will be the best thing that we have to do for our environment.
